Chicago Infiniti dealers add more details to the rumors on the Infiniti Performance Line (IPL), which features the IPL G Coupe as part of the specialty-performance vehicle Infiniti Performance Line collection.

The first production vehicle debuted in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, says Chicago Infiniti dealer Infiniti of Lisle. The 2011 IPL G Coupe was premiered and is expected to arrive at Infiniti showrooms in December.

“IPL was conceived to create a new premium performance envelope, going beyond equipment upgrades to accelerate the very soul of Infiniti’s Inspired Performance,” said Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore. “IPL brings all the elements together, styling harmonized with performance, exhaust note with acceleration feel, ride comfort and confident handling. It’s the perfect formula for unmatched driving exhilaration.”

The IPL will focus on revamping total vehicle performance and provide consumers with new, exclusive high performing vehicles. Chicago Infiniti drivers will find this new line to give them a selection on highly personal luxury vehicles. The vehicles will stand out from other Infiniti cars and SUVS by their unique designs and a special engine cover and trunklid badging.

About the IPL G Coupe

The IPL G Coupe is powered by a VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine management system that has been recalibrated through air-fuel mixture and ignition timing optimization. This raises the maximum horsepower output point.

The G Coupe has exclusive 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke graphite-finish wheels and is offered in only two exterior colors, Graphite Shadow and Malbec Black.

The interior also offerings two coordinating colors, Graphite and Monaco Red, which is only available with the Malbec Black exterior and 7-speed automatic transmission. The 5.6-liter V8 engine combines Infiniti’s Variable Valve Event & Lift technology, which offers improved emissions and fuel efficiency with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline and 7-speed automatic transmission for more power and fuel efficiency. The QX can tow up to 8,500 pounds, but is over 10% more fuel efficient than the previous model.

Although the SUV, available now at Chicago Infiniti dealers, was built to perform, the QX also looks stylish and provides optimal comfort possible. The exterior attractive design maintains the luxury of Infiniti, but also shows in strength in its size- it can easily fit eight adults- and stance- it’s 1.4-inches longer, 1.1-inches wider and 3.8-inches lower than 2010 models and features 20 inch split 7-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels.

The interior is where passengers will see the world-class features of the QX. The SUV seats seven, or eight with the second row’s 60/40-split bench seat. Heated front seats and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel are standard. Heated second-row seats are optional, as are climate-controlled front seats.

Chicago Infiniti passengers will have no problems getting in and out of the vehicle. The second row offers a tip-up function for easy third row entry and exit. There is also an optional remote release for the second row seats to tip-up through a switch on the center stack.
