Chicago Infiniti Dealers Announce Details on 2011 Infiniti Performance Line G Coupe

Chicago Infiniti dealers add more details to the rumors on the Infiniti Performance Line (IPL), which features the IPL G Coupe as part of the specialty-performance vehicle Infiniti Performance Line collection.

The first production vehicle debuted in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, says Chicago Infiniti dealer Infiniti of Lisle. The 2011 IPL G Coupe was premiered and is expected to arrive at Infiniti showrooms in December.

“IPL was conceived to create a new premium performance envelope, going beyond equipment upgrades to accelerate the very soul of Infiniti’s Inspired Performance,” said Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore. “IPL brings all the elements together, styling harmonized with performance, exhaust note with acceleration feel, ride comfort and confident handling. It’s the perfect formula for unmatched driving exhilaration.”

The IPL will focus on revamping total vehicle performance and provide consumers with new, exclusive high performing vehicles. Chicago Infiniti drivers will find this new line to give them a selection on highly personal luxury vehicles. The vehicles will stand out from other Infiniti cars and SUVS by their unique designs and a special engine cover and trunklid badging.

About the IPL G Coupe

The IPL G Coupe is powered by a VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine management system that has been recalibrated through air-fuel mixture and ignition timing optimization. This raises the maximum horsepower output point.

“When you drive the IPL G Coupe, the first thing you notice is the surge in sound and acceleration feel. The inspiring swell of sound is in complete harmony with the acceleration feel as engine speed increases,” said Poore. “The sound is clean and inspiring, adding to the fun-to-drive sensation provided by the 348 horsepower under the hood.”

The vehicle has been designed to provide the best handling and smoothest ride possible. The front spring rates on the IPL have been increased 20% over the base G Coupe and rear spring rates increased 10%, bringing a new standard to driving.

The IPL G Coupe, available late this year at Chicago Infiniti dealers, offers customers a whole new level of car from Infiniti and will lead the way to a line of luxury and performance vehicles.

The IPL G Coupe’s unique exterior features a unique dramatic front and rear bumper/fascia design with integrated fog lights and black finishers, sculpted side sills, rear spoiler and chrome exhaust tips, all which accent the coupe’s seductive styling. The G Coupe has exclusive 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke graphite-finish wheels and is offered in only two exterior colors, Graphite Shadow and Malbec Black.

The interior also offerings two coordinating colors, Graphite and Monaco Red, which is only available with the Malbec Black exterior and 7-speed automatic transmission. Features on all IPL G Coupe interiors include red-stitched leather-appointed front sport seats with manual thigh extension and driver’s power torso and thigh support adjustment, red-stitched steering wheel, Silk Obi aluminum trim and aluminum pedals and footrest, memory system for driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors, RearView Monitor, Rear Sonar and a moonroof.

Standard entertainment features include Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose® premium audio system and Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box® Hard Drive, Infiniti Voice Recognition for audio navigation.
